Our Heart is to Love and to Serve

Our heart is to emulate Jesus in all that we do. Find out about the ways our community is joining God in the renewal of our neighborhood, city, and world; and consider partnering with us!

Housing Project

Chicago is facing a housing crisis as buses arrive with asylum-seekers who have nowhere to live while they wait for placement in temporary housing. We have been blessed with our wonderful building and it has long been our prayer to find more ways to use this space outside of our Sunday gatherings. We feel a clear alignment of our city’s current need, our church’s available resources, and the Lord’s call to care for the marginalized (see Matthew 25:35-40).

Neighborhood Presence

Joining God in the renewal of all things begins by being present to the needs of our neighbors no matter where we live. As we discern God's presence and seek to love our neighbors well, we join with what God is doing through local organizations, schools, and events like the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Halloween on Southport!
